SWISS SUPERMOTO CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 2 @ AMBRI (TICINO)

Round 2 of the Swiss Supermoto Championship took place on the fast and flowing Ambri Airport track in the heart of Ticino. After a 7.5-hour drive from Lausanne (thanks, traffic!), the team arrived just in time to set up the paddock and walk the track.

⏱ Saturday – Practice & Qualifying
The track was fast and super fun to ride. Raphaël Beda (#96 – S5) broke a spoke on the first lap of qualifying, which left him in P18. Kevin Lopez (#603 – S4) struggled to find pace and finished P30 in the qualifying race.

🏁 Sunday – Race Day
Raphaël made two strong comebacks in both races, finishing P10 twice and securing P10 overall – a solid result given the tough start!

Kevin had a rough Sunday: a big crash at the start of race 1 damaged his front brake, but he managed to finish P33. In race 2, he was hit by another rider on lap 2 and had to retire (DNF), ending the weekend in P37.

🎙️ Final Thoughts
An emotional weekend with highs and lows. Not the ending we hoped for, but the team stays focused and ready for Round 3 in Lignières. We learn, we grow, and we’ll come back stronger!

Le deuxième round du championnat suisse s’est déroulé sur l'aéroport d'Ambri au Tessin, un tracé rapide et spectaculaire au coeur des Alpes. Après un long trajet depuis Lausanne (7h30 à cause des bouchons !), notre équipe est arrivée juste à temps pour installer le paddock et effectuer un trackwalk bien utile.

⏱ Samedi – Essais & qualifications
La piste s’est révélée très rapide et agréable à rouler. Raphaël Beda (#96 – S5) a malheureusement cassé un rayon dès le premier tour des chronos à la réception de la table dans la partie terre, ce qui l’a relégué à la 18e position. Kevin Lopez (#603 – S4) a eu du mal à trouver le rythme et termine P30 lors de la course de qualification.

Les courses de la catégorie S5 se sont déroulée le samedi après-midi. Raphaël a su tirer son épingle du jeu avec deux belles remontées jusqu’à la 10e place dans les deux manches, terminant P10 au général. Une performance solide malgré un départ compliqué !

🏁 Dimanche – Les courses (S4)
Kevin, quant à lui, a connu un dimanche difficile : un gros crash au départ de la première course endommage son frein avant, mais il parvient à finir P33 tant bien que mal... En seconde manche, il est percuté par un autre pilote au deuxième tour et doit abandonner (DNF). Il termine le week-end à la 37e place.

🎙️ Bilan
Un week-end riche en émotions, entre frustration et belles performances. L’équipe reste soudée et motivée pour le prochain round à Lignières. On apprend, on progresse, et on revient plus fort !
